With a traditional Serbian Orthodox ceremony held at Saint Nicholas Church and a stylish reception at Rydges South Bank, every moment of their day was meaningful and unforgettable.
A Traditional Serbian Orthodox Ceremony
The ceremony took place at the Serbian Orthodox Church of Saint Nicholas, a sacred and beautiful space where deep-rooted faith meets intricate architecture. The rituals were rich with symbolism — crowns, candles, and the circling of the altar — all set to the hauntingly beautiful sounds of Orthodox chant.
Nevena looked radiant in her classic gown, and Yianni’s expression as she entered said everything. This was a ceremony full of reverence, tradition, and deep emotion — and an absolute honour to photograph.
Elegant Portraits & City Views
Following the ceremony, we explored South Bank and the surrounding areas for portraits that balanced elegance with natural warmth. With river views, city backdrops, and soft golden light, the atmosphere was calm, joyful, and full of anticipation for the night to come.
The bridal party brought great energy, and the couple’s chemistry made every frame feel effortless and intimate.

The celebration continued at Rydges South Bank, one of Brisbane’s most versatile and elegant venues. With floor-to-ceiling windows, ambient lighting, and sweeping city views, the reception space was the perfect mix of glamour and comfort.
From traditional Serbian dancing to heartfelt speeches and incredible food, the night was bursting with life. Nevena & Yianni’s first dance turned into a full-scale party — a true reflection of their vibrant love and close-knit community.
