Amirah’s UQ Jacaranda Graduation Photoshoot

We had the honour of photographing Amirah’s Bachelor’s graduation at The University of Queensland, St Lucia, surrounded by Brisbane’s iconic Jacaranda blossoms. Her solo session beautifully captured the sense of peace, pride, and accomplishment that comes at the close of a meaningful chapter — a celebration of both growth and grace under the purple canopy of UQ in bloom.

Set against the scenic UQ Lakes and the timeless Great Court sandstone pillars, Amirah’s photos reflect both natural elegance and quiet confidence — a perfect blend of serenity and celebration.

Behind the Shoot

Amirah’s session began at the UQ Lakes, where the soft morning light shimmered across the water and the breeze carried Jacaranda petals through the air. The calm atmosphere created a dreamy, reflective start to the shoot.
We then moved towards the Great Court, finishing the session among the grand sandstone pillars — where the purple blossoms framed each portrait with depth and warmth. Every photo captured Amirah’s radiant smile and the joy of standing at the end of an incredible academic journey, surrounded by the beauty of UQ’s campus in full bloom.
