Sana’s UQ Jacaranda Graduation Photoshoot
We had the honour of photographing Sana’s graduation at the University of Queensland, celebrating her incredible journey from Canada to Australia to study Dentistry. Set beneath the full bloom of the jacarandas at UQ St Lucia, her session captures the elegance, achievement, and quiet pride of finishing a long academic chapter far from home.
Behind the Shoot
We began Sana’s session mid-afternoon, when the sky was gently overcast — giving us beautifully soft, even light across the Great Court. The diffused sunshine brought out the delicate purple tones of the jacarandas and the warmth of UQ’s sandstone architecture. Since this was a solo session, we focused on expressive portraits that highlighted her confidence and calm presence — a celebration of how far she’s come since arriving from Canada to study Dentistry at UQ.
